Wild Horse Adoption
Adopt a Living Legend

Every year the wild horse population is culled and the horses are available for adoption to the deserving public. Even if you can not adopt at this time, the event is a unique and educational, and well worth the drive out to Tooele.

The 2007 event will be held on Oct 20 at The Salt Lake Wild Horse and Burro Center (8605 W 12600 S) in Herriman. Silent bidding begins at 9am. Sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the workshop offers intruction on gentling techniques and the opportunity for hands-on experience in capturing a wild horse or burro.

Approximately ten professional trainers from across the country will teach "hands on" wild horse gentling and training techniques, seminars on nutrition, safety, halter tying and first aid.
